WHAT IS DIOLAZE & HOW DOES IT WORK?

At Chicago Aesthetics, we use the latest laser hair removal technology available on the market DiolazeXL.

DiolazeXL laser hair removal is a non-invasive, advanced laser hair removal procedure that safely and gently removes unwanted hair. The diode laser beam passes through the skin to the hair follicles and heats up the root of the hair, which stunts future hair growth. Each treatment can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes and is customized to your specific concerns.

Diolaze combines safety, patient comfort, speed, and efficacy. Patients can achieve permanent hair reduction while sitting through shorter treatments. Diolaze can target large areas and treat even the most stubborn hair. It is fast and causes minimal pain due to the built-in cooling surface.

Once the hair follicle is destroyed, the hair will not come back. Laser hair removal differs from electrolysis in that it is not limited to a single hair follicle at a time. The laser can target an entire area consisting of dozens of hair follicles in an instant, making it much faster and more efficient than electrolysis. BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

To prepare for your treatment, you will need to shave the area being treated. If you normally wax the area, you will need to wait 2-4 weeks before being treated.

Avoid direct sun exposure, sunbathing, and tanning.
Be sure to wear a broad-spectrum SPF and stay hydrated.
Arrive to your appointment with clean skin (no makeup, lotions, perfume, jewelry or other skin products on the area being treated).

DiolazeXL laser hair removal does not result in scarring and does not require downtime or recovery following the treatment.

Each treatment can take anywhere from 15-45 minutes and is customized to your specific concerns. Because laser hair removal is performed as a series of short outpatient sessions, you should be able to schedule an appointment during your lunch break and return to work immediately afterwards. The duration of a session depends on how much hair you’d like removed, but typically lasts an hour or less. Aside from the noticeable outcome that laser hair removal offers, one of the treatment’s finest features is how convenient it is. You don’t have to come in during your lunch hour, of course, but it’s nice to know that you can.

Following your treatment, you can expect redness and swelling where the hair follicles were treated. The treated area may even feel like a sunburn. Cool compresses, high-level SPF, and moisturizer will help improve the feeling. It is also recommended to leave the treated area free of products such as perfumes, deodorant, or any product with chemicals that can be harsh on freshly-lasered skin
