Reduce the appearance of stretch marks with laser therapy

We use a laser technology that invented and patented micro-fractional laser technology. Pulses of fractional laser light are used to break down stretch marks, triggering new tissue, collagen, and elastin production at the site and helping to improve the appearance of your stretch marks. The new collagen can leave the stretch mark smoother in texture and reduce the appearance of the stretch mark on the skin.

Stretch marks form when the skin is stretched rapidly due to growth spurts, pregnancy, weight gain, or muscle building. This causes the collagen and elastin in the skin to rupture, leading to visible lines.

Stretch marks can be caused by fluctuations in your weight, growth spurts, pregnancy, certain medications such as corticosteroids, long-term steroid use, or just bad luck.  To prevent stretch marks you can try to control any rapid fluctuations in your weight, take collagen supplements or eat foods that promote collagen production and avoid certain medications that may help reduce your risk of getting stretch marks.

Laser stretch mark treatment is appropriate for any skin type, including very light and very dark skin. We recommend waiting to be treated during hot summer months when the direct sun on the treated areas is not easily avoided.

Yes, the laser technology used for stretch mark removal is safe for even darker skin types. Darker skin types may require more treatments due to the risk of hyperpigmentation. Our trained estheticians and skin experts will be able to provide a customized treatment plan.

The procedure takes anywhere from 15-60 minutes per treatment. The time may vary based on the number and size of areas being treated.

Most people start with a minimum of four treatments for optimal results. Some may require more treatments depending on the severity of the stretch marks and/or skin type. The time in between treatments is 4-6 weeks.

You may experience temporary redness or dryness in the treated areas. The redness should subside within a week or sooner. Following your treatment you should avoid direct sun exposure or heat e.g. hot baths, saunas. Apply your post laser gel (we use EltaMD Laser Gel) to help keep the treated areas well-moisturized.
