How does microneedling work?

Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that involves using a microneedling device containing 14 fine needles. This process creates micro skin punctures, which stimulate the skin’s natural wound healing process, prompting tissue remodeling.

What is microneedling?

What can I expect during my microneedling procedure?

The microneedling treatment begins with cleansing the face with a gentle cleanser, followed by applying a topical numbing cream for 10-15 minutes. After removing the numbing cream and cleansing the face with antibacterial soap, the microneedling device can be used alone or with PRP, adjusting the depth of the pen based on skin. Post-treatment, instructions are provided for skin care in the following days.

What is PRP? And why is it added to the Microneedling procedure?

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. It’s a procedure where we draw your blood, then spin it to extract the Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP, rich in proteins like growth factors and cytokines, aids in skin tissue repair and collagen production when added to your microneedling treatment. It can also be sued in areas like the sclap to promote hair growth.

Is Microneedling painful?

Most patients find that the procedure is comfortable because we apply numbing cream to minimize any discomfort during the procedure.

Will I have downtime from Microneedling?

There is minimal downtime, with redness and dryness subsiding in a few days to a week.

How many Microneedling treatments will I need?

The number of treatments is determined during a consultation, varying based on the severity of the skin condition. Treatment plans can range from 3-6 treatments. Maintenance treatments may also be recommended to keep your skin looking healthy.

How often can I undergo Microneedling?

Treatment should be done every 4 weeks.

What is the cost of Microneedling?

Pricing is determined during a consultation. Costs vary based on whether you purchase a package, a single treatment, or add PRP.

What should I avoid after Microneedling?

Following your treatment, avoid makeup for 24 hours, most serums for at least 3 days, and retinol/Tretinoin for a week. Do not exfoliate your skin. Be sure to limit sun exposure and wear SPF with a physical block like zinc.
