He is quadruple board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He completed residency training in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at Wayne State/Detroit Medical Center and a Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the Beeson Cosmetic Surgery Institute. He has been in practice since 2001, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and has published peer-reviewed research in facial plastic surgery and skin rejuvenation.

Am I a good candidate?
You're a good candidate for Radiesse injections if you:
- Have moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds, which are deep lines around the nose and mouth.
- Desire a more contoured jawline.
- Want to restore loss of volume in the hands.
Is there any downtime?
The actual treatment time is about 15 minutes per area.
Radiesse injections should only be performed by a trained cosmetic injector.
You should be able to return to your normal routine immediately, although you should minimize strenuous activities and sunlight exposure for a period.
Is Radiesse safe? Are there side effects?
Some side effects include swelling, pain, itching, redness, bruising, and infection at the injection site.
In rare cases, the injection could accidentally be placed in a blood vessel, causing severe (and sometimes permanent) side effects.
Other rare risks include the formation of nodules on the backs of the hands that may require steroid or surgical intervention.
How long does Radiesse last?
