Is The New Non-Invasive “Face Lift”

Forma is a non-surgical treatment that uses heat and radiofrequency to remodel collagen. It is the first, and only, thermal skin tightening device that stimulates collagen while also improving skin texture. Each treatment takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour and is customized to your specific concerns.

The Forma skin procedure helps to make your skin look visibly brighter, your jaw more defined, and an overall lifted and tighter look. This treatment is a good option for everyone, including younger patients looking to prevent wrinkles.

Forma can be used on both the face and small areas of the body. The most common areas are the face and neck.

Additionally, there is no downtime to receiving this treatment. Each treatment can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and is customized to your specific concerns.

How many treatments will I need?

For best results, one session a week for approximately 6-8 weeks is recommended for moderate laxity. After your series of treatments has been completed, one maintenance session is recommended every 1-3 months.

Does a Forma treatment hurt?

Though the wand does heat up to about 109 degrees, the procedure is still considered “pain-free.” The heat settings are manually controlled, so the temperature can be adjusted for sensitive skin areas, such as around the eyes. It has been compared to getting a hot stone massage on your face.

What is the downtime for Forma treatments?

Since this treatment is non-invasive, there is no downtime. Immediately after your procedure, you may apply makeup, moisturizer, or a broad-spectrum SPF if needed.

How soon will I see results after my Forma treatment?

Following your treatment, you can expect your skin to be red due to the heat exposure, but it will subside within an hour. Your skin will also feel tighter and you may experience mild swelling.

You may begin to see results directly after your first treatment depending on the area treated. Results will improve over time as your skin elasticity strengthens and as more collagen production takes place.

How much do Forma treatments cost in Chicago?

The cost of your Forma treatment can range between $500 to $1000 depending on how many areas need treatment. It is important to keep in mind that the number of treatments usually is between 6-8 treatments for the maximum benefit. We customize each treatment plan to each individual patient. At Chicago Aesthetics Surgery & Med Spa, have a variety of different treatments available that can be combined to give our patients the best results.

How do I prepare for my Forma treatment?

To prepare for your treatment, avoid skin irritation such as direct sun exposure, sunbathing, or tanning, as this can increase heat sensitivity. Additionally, you should:

Stop using irritant topical products 2–3 days before your treatment (including retinol and tretinoin).
Arrive with clean skin—no makeup, lotions, perfume, jewelry, or other products on the treated area.
If you have a pacemaker or metal near the treatment area, you are not a candidate for this procedure.
