Morpheus8V is an innovative technology that merges micro-needling with radiofrequency (RF) energy specifically designed to rejuvenate the vaginal area. Unlike traditional Morpheus8 for face and body, Morpheus8V stimulates your body’s natural collagen production and tissue remodeling, leading to improved firmness and elasticity of the vaginal tissues. This treatment approach ensures a more natural, less invasive treatment compared to conventional surgical methods such as a labiaplasty procedure.

Treatment

For the best results, you will need a series of three Morpheus8V treatments, each spaced about six to eight weeks apart. The effects of the Morpheus8V procedure are long-lasting, often remaining effective for up to 18 months or more. To maintain your results, an annual maintenance session is usually recommended.

Before undergoing the Morpheus8V treatment, you’ll have a thorough consultation with Dr. Sue Kafali to discuss your goals and prepare for the procedure. If you are a good candidate, Dr. Kafali will administer the Morpheus8V treatment with the specialized device to deliver RF energy with microneedling to the outer labia. This outpatient procedure is typically quick, lasting about an hour, and is generally well-tolerated with minimal discomfort.

How many treatments will I need?

A package of 3 Morpheus8V treatments is recommended for the best results, depending on the condition of your skin, laxity, and quality. Morpheus8V results are long-lasting, but we recommend a yearly maintenance treatment on average, like many in-office treatments.

Treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

How long do Morpheus8 treatments take?

The Morphues8 treatment can take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. This does not include the numbing time. You will be asked to come into the office 1 hour before your treatment to allow the numbing medication to take effect.

Is Morpheus8 painful?

You may feel pressure and some discomfort during the Morpheus8 treatment. Some areas are more sensitive than others.

This treatment may become a little uncomfortable if used at a higher setting, but a topical numbing cream and cooling device will be provided to help with any discomfort during your treatment.

Who should not get Morpheus8?

You should not receive a Morpheus8 treatment if:

Currently are pregnant or nursing
Have an impaired immune system or currently using immunosuppressive medications
History of diseases stimulated by heat such as recurrent Herpes Simplex
Have active skin conditions such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, or rash
History of skin disorders e.g., keloids, abnormal wound healing, very dry or fragile skin
Poorly controlled endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, and hormonal virilization

Be sure to discuss any medical conditions with your Morpheus8 provider to determine if you are a good candidate.

What is the downtime for Morpheus8?

Following your Morpheus8 treatment, you can expect to leave our office with what looks like a moderate sunburn. You can expect 1-3 days of redness, swelling, and possible itchiness. During the first few days, you should avoid sun exposure to the treated area. You should also apply an Aquaphor-like ointment, keep the area clean, moisturize, and use broad-spectrum SPF to avoid hyperpigmentation after 2-3 days.

How soon will I see results after my Morpheus8 treatment?

You may begin to see an improvement in your skin texture within the first 2 to 4 weeks.

As the collagen and elastin regenerate over time, you will begin to see skin tightening over the next three months. This improvement will continue up to 3-6 months after your Morpheus8 treatment.

For even better results, your skincare provider may also recommend medical-grade skin products for at-home care and another skincare treatment like Lumecca IPL to further improve your skin.
