Vitamin B12 is one of the most important vitamins to optimize. B12 can be given orally or through intramuscular injections. The B12 booster shot will be injected into the muscle of the thigh, buttock or the upper arm. Just like other injections, a vitamin B-12 injection will have a minor stinging sensation at the time of treatment.

In order for patients to maintain a higher level of Vitamin B-12, we may recommend “maintenance” injections every 3 – 6 months.
